Description: A support program operated from the Allan Reuter Centre which provides a social/recreational day out for older adults who live alone or with caregivers, but may feel isolated or lonely and would enjoy a day out. Program operates five days per week – Mon. to Fri. – 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Allan Reuter Centre and consists of transportation, a hot lunch and activities. Participants are required to register.

Description: This program matches a volunteer with an isolated senior or physically challenged individual to increase social contact and reduce isolation.

Description: This program matches a volunteer visitor with clients, to provide companionship for both the person being cared for, and short-term relief to the caregiver in need of a time for themselves. The goal being to decrease social isolation for both the caregiver and care recipient. The volunteers do not provide personal, or professional medical care.
